Richard Harrison Bailey/The Agency, a marketing communication firm with a clientele comprising colleges and universities, currently has an opening for a researcher/writer in our Indianapolis office. The researcher/writer is responsible for conducting qualitative research, writing the ensuing reports and translating the results into compelling communication strategies and tools for our clients in the not-for-profit sector.

The qualified applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, intellectual curiosity, creative initiative, thoughtful ideas and a hearty sense of humor. Applicants should enjoy conducting focus groups and one-on-one interviews, and using the insights from these efforts to develop concepts and campaigns of outstanding quality for print, broadcast, new media and other forms of promotion. The position also requires strong skills in copywriting, editing and proofreading.

We seek a self-motivated individual who works well in a close-knit environment and enjoys collaborating with co-workers. The successful candidate will have the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner, a willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously, creative interview skills, and strong research and analytical capabilities. Brilliant intellectuals are welcome to apply, though we draw the line at dry academics. Occasional travel is required.
