Carmella Manges, Director of E-Marketing, St. Edward's University

Carmella Manges joined St. Edward’s University as Director of E-Marketing in 2004 with over 20 years experience in marketing strategy consulting and creative services.

 

Ms. Manges serves as the primary strategist for the university’s electronic marketing efforts. In this capacity, she has helped the university shift from a traditional “publications” model to an ROI-driven model that more closely aligns with the goals for the online channel — to cause someone to take an action.

 

She arrived at St. Edward’s University after founding Manges Marketing Services, Inc., a marketing communications agency and consulting firm in 1994, which provided marketing strategy and creative services for the financial services industry, technology firms, nonprofits and other industries. Client work included:

  • development of online banking applications
  • online account sales processes
  • online mortgages and leasing
  • online calculators
  • e-mail campaigns
  • information architecture and web site design

for Fortune 500 banks, major investment firms and community banks. Ms. Manges has also helped clients define and create a top-to-bottom customer experience for the retail sales environment.

Ms. Manges earned her Master’s degree at Carnegie Mellon University.

Now living in Austin, Texas, she enjoys pursuing her favorite pastime – bird watching.
