HEE Team

Envisoned by Karine Joly and nurtured by its Advisory Board, Higher Ed Experts is a true product of the new Web.

This website was built by the following professional web team:

Karine Joly, Founder and Higher Ed Experts' Chaser

Karine Joly, HEE Founder

karine@higheredexperts.com

Founder of www.higheredexperts.com, Karine Joly is a Web marketing professional, a new media expert, an independent blogger and a passionate writer.

Her popular and influential niche blog, www.collegewebeditor.com, was launched in February 2005. She started to write University Business' Internet Technologies column in February 2006.

Had she not been such a perfectionist, she would have probably launched  www.higheredexperts.com in February 2007 -- and not in April 2007 ;-)

Part-time Web editor for a liberal arts college on the east coast from 2002 to 2007, she has been working on new media and Web projects for higher ed institutions and businesses for the past five years.

Before focusing on Web 2.0 in higher education, she experienced first hand Web 1.0 as a Web editor at About.com, a top 10 Web property that is now part of The New York Times Company. Prior to the dot com boom (… and bust), Karine worked as a journalist for several radio stations, newspapers, and magazines in Europe.

She has a master’s degree in communication from La Sorbonne in Paris and a Webmaster Certificate from Rutgers University, NJ.

Last but not least, Karine thinks orange is the new black when it comes to websites. Don't ask :-)

Typo3, Open Source CMS and Dream Enabler

So, what? Typo3 isn't a person, but a free open source content management system. At Higher Ed Experts, it doesn't prevent us from loving it as much as any other team member (well, almost as Karine denied its request for an individual email address ;-)
